Maria Isabel Tutucayo Clachua is from Lari, Peru.  Her birthday is July 20, 2006, and she is currently in 8th grade.  Maria loves to play soccer and enjoys studying math in school.  Her favorite food is fried rice.

Maria lives in a very small, poor village in the Andes Mountains of Peru.  Her parents do not have secure jobs and struggle to support their eight children.  They will pick on local farms when there is work, but it is not enough to get by.  Maria hopes through sponsorship to go to college and be a teacher.  She recently lost her sponsor and needs help in order to stay in school. Can you help Maria?
